Richard Maxton is an Australian-born, Vancouver-based Director of Photography, camera operator and filmmaker.

Long ago he was a journalist, then an ad guy, but eventually traded words for pictures and never looked back.

Now he channels those curious and creative instincts into his work, combining insight with beautiful imagery. He loves hearing about people’s passions, finding out what stirs them, and translating it onto the screen.

Richard’s broad experience means he’s highly versatile and adaptable; a creative multi-tool with a sharp instinct for finding the heart of a scene.

He is happiest in wild places, wandering across vast landscapes.
